Royal Family Kids Camp
Children who’ve experienced abuse, neglect, or family trauma often feel invisible. They carry pain most of us can’t imagine—and what they need most isn’t a program. It’s a person. Someone who shows up. Someone who stays.
Since 2022, Coastline Community Church has partnered with Family Partnerships of Central Brevard to pair trained mentors with elementary-aged children in foster care and kinship care. Through our Royal Family Kids (RFK) Mentoring Club, volunteers meet monthly with the same child—building trust, sharing meals, and creating the kind of consistent, caring relationship that changes everything.
You don’t need a background in counseling or ministry experience. You just need to be willing to show up and care. Every mentor receives training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), a proven approach to helping children heal through safe, nurturing relationships.
In addition to monthly mentoring, we host Royal Family Kids Camp each summer—a five-day experience filled with laughter, adventure, and life-giving activities designed to build confidence, resilience, and hope. Whether you have an hour a month or a week in the summer, there’s a place for you to make a lasting difference in a child’s life.

One consistent, caring adult can change the entire trajectory of a child’s life.
Many of the children in our program have never had a dependable adult in their corner. When you become a mentor, you’re not just filling a volunteer role—you’re becoming a source of safety, consistency, and joy for a child who needs it most. No special skills required. Just a willingness to show up, be present, and let a kid know they matter.
